Día de el idioma Inglés!!

Happy English Language Day!
English Language Day is celebrated each year on April 23, the date said to be when William Shakespeare was born.
English is referred to as the unofficial "world language" because it is so widely used, as it is the language of business and of internet!
Our Goal #1 and one of our main strategies to help the boys at ‪#‎InspireDR‬create opportunities for themselves is to teach them English. The knowledge of English can double your wages in Dominican Republic.

Earth day celebrated at Cabarete!

Happy Earth Day! Look at how we celebrated earth day!
Today we are reminded of the need to take much better care of the earth we live in, for it is the only one we have!
In Dominican Republic , there are over 340 landfills, too many for such a small amount of land, with improper management that just allows them to grow and contaminate the air and rivers, causing widespread diseases.
At InspireDR we aim to instil environmental awareness in the boys through teaching the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Not only do we do the beach clean-up every month, but we take advantage of the plastic collected to build things and teach the boys that most used things can become a resource to build something else, instead of ending up in a polluting landfill.
This year, the boys made toy cars out of some of the trash collected at the beach. The boys also used recycling paper to post on the map how we can save the planet!

A big thank you....

Thank you to all those who came out to the monthly Beach Clean-up this past Saturday. The boys had a lot of fun while making the beach much cleaner. We were able to collect much garbage and teach the boys to separate plastic, paper, cans, glass bottles and much more left behind on the beautiful beach.
We also would like to send a special thank you to IKEA República Dominicana / Página Oficial for providing us with reusable bags that we will be using in all beach clean-ups to come.
If you are interested in participating on our next beach clean-up send us a message to find out how and check us out at to see all the wonderful things we do.
